Brutal Training

If you are one of those who think training for boxing or wrestling is difficult, then you will be left wide-eyed by the brutal training regiment, which the people who prepare for MMA have to go through.

Firstly, you need to build stamina, because fighting an MMA fighter for just five minutes will drain you crazy.

The fighters develop a crazy reserve of stamina for this purpose because if you don’t have the stamina, you might as well throw away the match.

Secondly, you need to have a strong endurance, anyone who has ever played any sports know training is tough, but in the case of MMA, you need to have a monster endurance as pain will become your partner for the training as well as for the fights in MMA.

Thirdly, you need to learn all the strikes such as punches, kicks, knees etc from various sports and martial arts, and you need to have speed, strength and high flexibility in your movements and doing it is a slow process, it’s like having a form without a form.

Fourthly, anyone who has ever seen MMA fights will know that you need to have a good grasp in grappling, which means techniques, manoeuvers and counters applied in order to deal damage to the opponent or immobilize them. Grappling involves the use of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

You also need to have a lot of perseverance because perfecting these techniques takes a lot of time and a lot of fights, if you can’t persevere you won’t be able to fight in the MMA. Start now to train like a fighter!

Mental Burden

The mental burden which the players preparing for MMA is several times higher compared to the physical training.

The most important thing you need to have while preparing for it is resolved, if you are lacking in resolve you won’t be able to endure either the training or the fights.

There is a saying that nothing really can prepare you for the fight in the MMA ring, I know it is contradictory, but until you go in the ring and fight, you won’t really be ready.

The fighters in the MMA are ready to be punched, kicked, they are ready for the pain, and they have mentally prepared themselves for it.

If you can’t mentally prepare yourself for the pain which will come and you can bet it is going to come, you won’t really be able to complete your training or fight in the MMA ring.

MMA is a really violent sport and it is certainly not for the weak-willed people, but for those who have a strong will, resolve and commitment it will be an amazing ride.
